Cassandra is a person who knows her own heart. She followed it as she designed her gorgeous range ‘Pink Rubarb’. She’s always loved the fun and frivolity of Peter Alexander‘s designs, and chanelled a little bit of that (plus a whole lot of her own talent!) in her collection.
I loved this playful shoot, held at The Loft, Geelong. Mel and Stevie looked gorgeous in Cassandra’s designs and were happy to show is their sillier sides. Thanks to them both for saying yes, and doing a job like the pros.

Behind the scenes. Trying to get sparklers to light simultaneously is not easy task.

The vivacious Cassandra. She’s following her love and her dream. That in itself, is admiral and inspirational.

It’s a brave person who tackles designing a menswear range. Alana is such a person. Her label ‘Rue Du Four’ is simply beautiful (do you describe men’s clothes as beautiful?). I loved hanging out with Alana and shooting her range she put together as part of her fashion studies.
When Alana spoke about her designs there was a light in her eyes. That’s what finding your passion looks like.
Aaron, our (willing?) model for the shoot was fantastic. It’s not easy being in front of the camera. It’s even harder when it’s your sister’s fashion range your wearing and you’ve never modelled before. But Aaron was brilliant. Really brilliant.
Oh, and it’s not just Melbourne that has some gorgeous lane ways. Geelong has it’s fair share too. Some of you will recognise some of the street art.

Alana and her brother. I took this shot for their mum.

Alana has a fine eye for fabrics, colour and well fitting designs. And she can hand make jeans. I’m still blown away by that one simple fact. I’ll be watching her career in fashion with keen interest.

Coming into contact with creative people, always energises me. Meeting and working with Brooke Greirson did exactly this. I loved listening to her as she chatted about her Raven collection, the fabrics she used, where she got her inspiration from, what she hopes to do in the future.
Brooke is in her final year of the Advanced Diploma of Fashion at The Gordon here in Geelong, and her collection is the culmination of her studies. As she helped dress our beautiful model Aimme, I could tell she loved what she does. She’s lucky to have found her passion so soon in life. Her passion, combined with her talent, will take her a long way.

Thanks so much to Aimme for modelling for us. It was f-f-freezing, but in true Aimee style, she simply laughed (despite the goosebumps). Thanks also to my Lauren for doing the hair and make-up.

The gorgeous Brooke. A pocket rocket with enough talent to sink a ship.
