Ocean Grove wedding – Megan and Michael

Megan was outside hosing down the caravan. She and Michael love to travel this fine land of ours, and their van acts as their home away from home. It’s just as precious as their bricks and mortar home. Michael came out, their dogs at his heels. “Will you marry me?and the dogs?” he asked her.

In a heartbeat, Megan said yes.

Megan and Michael share an exuberant love of life. Starting with their love of travel. Continuing to their passion for renovating. Energy for what’s good in the world abounds. They are beautiful to be around, that energy rubbs off. I’ve invited myself around to sit on their deck, drink wine, and pat their dogs. People of the calibre of these two don’t come along often, so you’ve got to invite yourself along when you can.

I’m lucky to have wondrous people such as these living just around the corner from me. My world is a wonderful place.

Colac wedding – Tahnee and Shaun

Tahnee and Shaun’s wedding was a collective group hug. People travelled from far and further to see two people clearly meant for each other get married.

Shaun is the swanky silver fox. Razor sharp intellect and extremely good fashion sense. Tahnee is the bubbling blonde. As clever as she is sweet (and she’s one of the sweetest people I’ve ever met). Together they are formidable. A force to be reckoned with. A duo not to be forgotten by anyone they meet.

Shaun and Tahnee’s wedding reception was sublime. They had one vision from the start, and stuck with it. There’s was an inclusive guest list. “We just want to invite everyone to come party with us”, they explained, and party they did. On a family property on the fringe of Colac, guests enjoyed the revelry as the sun sank behind the trees.
